The 131st Street and Memorial intersection widening project is scheduled to begin the week of August 2nd, 2010, and be completed by April 30th, 2011. During the duration of the project, 131st Street will be closed to through traffic from 78th East Avenue to Memorial on the West side and from 85th East Avenue to Memorial on the East side. Local traffic will have continuous access; however, through traffic on 131st Street will be DETOURED to 121st at both Sheridan and Mingo.
